Happy Lord's Day, All!
If you don't go to a church that infuses the message of God's great grace in every aspect of its worship service and beyond, pack up and find one!
God's grace - His love and forgiveness - and "second chances" unmeasured gives true freedom - not the freedom to keep on sinning, but the freedom of personal worth and dignity which comes from knowing Him "who knows us best, but loves us most".
G R A C E God's Riches At Christ's Expense
"For God so loved ___________(place your name in this verse!) that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."
Jesus said, "And this is eternal life - to know You, Father, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3)
" 14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. "
"If the son has set you free, you shall be free indeed." GRACE ---> FREEDOM!
Discovering the Love of God
Many challenges arise for those seeking the transcendent reality of a personal God who cares for us. We yearn for meaning and mystery in life beyond the material day-to-day concerns. I invite you to join me as I pass along what I have been given. - Julie

Launching Post
I think it apropos that, as I begin my launch into this blog about finding God, exercising the unused muscles of faith and transcendence, that a family member (who I am sure prefers to remain anonymous) spills the evaporated milk everywhere as he pokes about our overstuffed refrigerator - requiring some practical assistance.
It is easy to "wax eloquent" when one has the luxury of good health, and a tranquil and uninterrupted space in which to compose ones thoughts. But that is not the setting that God has chosen for most of us, and - we had better get used to finding Him in the midst of our day to day concerns. Perhaps that is why He sent His Son - to be bound up in the time and space of this planet, and in the pressures of daily life - as he cared for a single mom (after Joseph's absence) and providing for a family, dealing with those who scorn and minimalize who you are and what you stand for.
